Through a partnership between Miriam’s House and Community Access Network, the HOME program offers outreach and engagement with unsheltered individuals in the Central Virginia region. These services are aimed at assisting the most vulnerable homeless individuals, connecitng them with shelter, housing and other critical resources to provide safety and stability.
Who does HOME serve?
Unsheltered homeless households, such as an individual with a primary nighttime residence that is a place not meant for human habitation such as a car, park, abandoned building, bus or train station, airport or campground.
What does HOME offer?
Outreach workers locate, identify and build relationships with unsheltered households experiencing homelessness. Program staff provide housing-focused case management, which includes assessing housing barriers and connecting our homeless neighbors to housing as quick as possible.
